The software in most vehicle ECU (Engine Control Unit) systems is generic and typically written to be used by vehicles in several regions where differences in regulations and emission requirements may enforce compromises. This means that your vehicle may not actually be using the optimum software for the engine and country your driving in and performance improvements are available.
Using the latest software technology we can reprogramme the 'MAP' used by your ECU to control the engine performance, gaining improved BHP and torque. The benefits from these upgrades depend on the manufacturer and vehicle. However typically a 5-10% performance improvement is achieved.
About the ECU Upgrades
The upgrades we apply are customised to suit your vehicle, we are not simply tinkering with the setting of your vehicle, the current software is read, copied and saved before a thoroughly tested replacement is applied to the ECU. Once replaced the only difference you will notice is the improvement in response and performance from the car.
The upgrades are provided to us by the UK's leading, reputable supplier. These are not extreme remaps requiring upgrades to exhausts, brakes etc., they are meant to gain incremental improvements to your vehicles performance.
*Fuel Consumption
The fuel consumption of your vehicle is largely dependent on how you drive; if you are in possession a lead weighted right foot, your vehicle will use more fuel !
Performing an engine remap in many cases will improve fuel economy through being a more efficient plan and due to the improved torque and power providing greater performance for the fuel burnt.

Elite Remaps
We use the latest generation of remaping hardware and software tools from Elite Remaps. The map provided from Elite are of highest qualiry, fully tested and specifically engineered to obtain the best all round power, performance and fuel economy from your vehicle.

Vehicle Warranty
An engine ECU remap is a modification to the vehicle and will affect your original vehicle warranty. This should be taken into account prior to having an upgrade performed.
For most vehicles in the event of any difficulty and the car needing franchise dealer assistance, or just because you wanted to, we can remove the ECU upgrade and replace the original software to the ECU. This is manufacturer / model dependent and you should check with us if it's a concern to you prior to completing the upgrade.
Vehicle Insurance
An engine ECU remap is a modification and performance improvement to your car and may affect your insurance. You should check this with your insurer.
Peace of mind
Unlike many ECU upgrades and performance management improvements on the market, the upgrades we perform are supplied by a reputable distributor that complete the relevant remapping for the specific model of vehicle and have fully tested these prior to their release.
The upgrades consist of a software 'image' specific to your vehicle model, supplied to us and installed into your ECU. We do not adjust any of the settings ourselves and cannot 'adjust' the map beyond the improvements already encoded.
