Q: Do I need to use the main dealer for my car service?

A: It used to be the case that car owners had little choice but to have their car serviced at the main dealer whilst under a manufacturers warranty (ie. Volvo owners had to go to Volvo, Mercedes owners to Mercedes, Nissan to Nissan, Fiat to Fiat, Audi to Audi, BMW to BMW etc.)

Since the European Union imposed rules against block exemptions in 2002 it is now illegal for car manufacturers to insist on their cars being maintained solely within their franchise network and to impose any restrictions on independent Motorcare specialist's like us. This means we have the same level of access to diagnostics information, tools and updates that an authorised franchise has.

This flexibility allows you to have your car maintained wherever you wish with no impact to the vehicles manufacturers warranty.

Following your service, we will stamp your service history in the usual way and reset the vehicles service interval indicator system to manufacturers specifications.

Of course you must still follow the manufacturers service guidelines and any service interval or notifications indicators to maintain your vehicles service history and we will always use original manufacturer recommended parts to comply with the service requirements.
